INTRODUCTION
This Age Verification Policy explains how Idollist implements age verification to comply with applicable regulations and protect minors from accessing adult content. As age verification requirements for adult platforms continue to expand globally, Idollist is committed to operating robust, compliant verification systems while handling user data with care and discretion. This Policy operates alongside the General Terms & Conditions and all other applicable Idollist policies. Where a conflict arises between this Policy and the General Terms on age verification matters, this Policy takes precedence. All defined terms carry the meanings given to them in the General Terms & Conditions, unless stated otherwise here.DEFINITIONS
“Age Estimation” means the simplified age verification process available to Fans, which confirms that a user is over 18 without requiring full identity documentation. “Age Verification” means the process of confirming that a user meets the minimum age requirement of 18 years through an approved verification method. “Full KYC” means the comprehensive identity verification process required of all Idols, including government-issued document verification and biometric identity checks, conducted through Sumsub. “Verification Provider” means Sumsub, the third-party service approved by Idollist to carry out age estimation and identity verification. “Regulated Jurisdiction” means any country, state, or territory whose laws require age verification for platforms that host adult content.POLICY
1. AGE VERIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
1.1 Minimum Age
All users of the Platform must be at least 18 years of age. Users located in Regulated Jurisdictions must complete age verification before accessing any adult content on the Platform. Idollist reserves the right to require age verification from any user, regardless of their location, where we consider it appropriate to do so.1.2 Jurisdictions with Mandatory Verification
The following jurisdictions currently impose legal requirements on adult content platforms to verify user age:1.3 Upcoming Requirements
Spain: Organic law for the protection of minors in digital environments has been passed. Age verification implementation (via the Cartera Digital system) is in development, with full enforcement expected in 2026. Idollist monitors regulatory developments globally and will update this Policy as new requirements come into force.2. VERIFICATION PROCESS
2.1 When Verification is Required
Users located in a Regulated Jurisdiction who attempt to access adult content will be prompted to complete age verification before access is granted. Location is determined using IP address and other available technical indicators. All Idols must complete Full KYC through Sumsub regardless of their location, as a condition of being approved to publish content on the Platform.2.2 Verification Methods
Idollist operates two levels of verification, depending on the user’s role: Age Estimation (Fans) — a streamlined age confirmation process that establishes whether a user is over 18 without requiring document submission or storage. Verification is completed instantly through Sumsub’s age estimation service. Full KYC (Idols) — a comprehensive identity verification process that includes submission of a government-issued identity document, biometric facial recognition matching, and full identity confirmation. Document data is stored securely in accordance with applicable legal requirements, including USC 2257 where relevant.2.3 Verification Flow
A user attempts to access age-gated content or applies to become an Idol. The Platform checks the user’s location and account status to determine what level of verification is required. If verification is required, the user is directed to a secure verification interface provided by Sumsub. The user completes the appropriate verification process. The result is returned to Idollist and access is granted or denied accordingly.3. DATA HANDLING
3.1 Information Collected
Age Estimation collects: a basic age confirmation result; the timestamp of verification; and a pass or fail status. Full KYC additionally collects: government identity document details; biometric data used for identity matching; and document images, stored securely via Sumsub.3.2 Data Processing
All verification data is processed in accordance with Idollist’s Privacy Policy. Verification is carried out by Sumsub under a data processing agreement that reflects applicable data protection law. Idollist retains only the minimum data necessary to demonstrate compliance with its legal obligations. Verification status is communicated to the Platform via secure tokens, not through the transfer of raw personal data.3.3 Data Retention
Verification status is retained for the duration of your Account. Identity document data for Idols is retained in accordance with USC 2257 requirements and any other applicable legal obligations. Failed verification attempts are logged for security and compliance purposes.4. ACCESS RESTRICTIONS
4.1 Before Verification is Completed
Users who have not yet completed the required verification may: Browse non-adult content on the Platform; View Idol profiles that do not contain explicit content; and Manage their account settings. Users who have not completed verification may not: Access or view adult or explicit content; or Purchase PPV content that contains explicit material.4.2 Failed Verification
Users who do not pass age verification will be restricted from accessing adult content on the Platform. Multiple failed verification attempts may result in temporary restrictions being applied to the relevant Account. Idollist reserves the right to terminate accounts that are unable to complete required age verification.4.3 Appeals
Users who believe their verification was incorrectly rejected may contact support@idollist.com to request a review. An appeal should include: the reason for the appeal; any relevant supporting documentation; and, where applicable, details of an alternative verification method the user is able to use.5. COMPLIANCE AND ENFORCEMENT
5.1 Ongoing Monitoring
Idollist regularly reviews applicable age verification laws and updates its verification requirements as new regulations come into force. Users may be required to complete re-verification where: laws in their jurisdiction change; technical requirements are updated by the Platform or Sumsub; or suspicious activity is detected on their Account.5.2 Circumvention
Attempting to bypass or circumvent age verification by any means is strictly prohibited and constitutes a breach of the Acceptable Use Policy. Using a VPN, proxy, or other location-masking technology specifically to avoid age verification may result in account termination. Sharing account credentials to allow another person to bypass verification is also prohibited.5.3 Reporting
Users who have reason to believe that a minor is accessing the Platform should report this immediately to support@idollist.com. Idollist cooperates fully with law enforcement authorities on matters relating to age verification compliance and child protection.6. IDOL RESPONSIBILITIES
6.1 Content Labelling
All Idols must accurately label any adult or explicit content they upload using the Platform’s designated content settings. Deliberately mislabelling content in order to avoid age-gating is a breach of the Acceptable Use Policy and may result in account termination.6.2 Co-Authored Content
Where an Idol’s content features other individuals, the Idol is responsible for verifying that all individuals appearing in that content are at least 18 years of age, and for retaining appropriate documentation to that effect. Age verification records for all individuals featured in content must be maintained in accordance with USC 2257 and any other applicable legal requirements.CONTACT & SUPPORT
